Meet the Creek
Join the Brookfield Conservation Commission for Meet the Creek, a celebration of the Salt Creek!
Meet the Creek will be Saturday, Oct. 4, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Kiwanis Park picnic pavilion. Take a canoe ride, interact with live animals, and view fish and other critters found in and around the Salt Creek. A scavenger hunt will be available for kids. The Learn more about how you can protect the creek from the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District and the Brookfield Native Plants Club. The event is free.
Canoeing is free and offered on a first come, first served basis. Children riding in canoes must be 3 years or older and minors must be accompanied by an adult. Life preservers will be supplied and are required.
