Hunger and Health Illinois Regional Summit in Chicago
One in ten people in Illinois struggle with food insecurity daily, according to Feeding America. When families are hungry, making a healthy choice is not always an easy choice. The Hunger and Health Illinois Regional Summit aims to catalyze collaboration among local, public, and regional organizations working together to address nutrition insecurity and its impact on health.  We aim to increase awareness, facilitate dialogue, and recognize resources to help increase the health of the community through nutritious choices.
Participants will be able to attend a keynote presentation, two breakout sessions, and networking bingo. The session topics include: The Connection between Hunger and Health, Food as Medicine, Pantries of the Future, Creating a Community of Belonging, and Health Equity by Addressing Food Access.
