Kari Watson and Lou Mallozzi bring together assemblages of analog and digital electronics, juxtaposing disparate materials towards the creation of live sonic and visual collage, uniting unexpected source materials and sonic artefacts to evoke strange assemblages and associations of space and place, all furthered by the historied cavernous halls of the IMSS. David Bird presents Gradient Field, an evolving live audiovisual performance practice that unfolds within a real-time 3D environment. Guided by a series of generative systems, it emerges as a shifting landscape of audiovisual grains, continuously transforming in density and texture. Kelley Sheehan traverses a selection of analog electronics and circuits, building live systems and structures that become collaborative in real time. Together, the three performances transpose and transform the halls of the IMSS via three different audio-visual approaches.
