Former White House Press Secretary and MSNBC Host Jen Psaki is known for her clarity as a communicator at the briefing room podium and now behind the desk hosting Inside with Jen Psaki. She gives Chicago Humanities an insider view of her work with a range of political personalities like Barack Obama, Rahm Emanuel and John Kerry, and her pivotal role shaping the communication strategy for the Biden administration. In her latest book, Say More: Lessons from Work, the White House, and the World, Psaki takes a journey on the campaign trail, to the State Department, and inside the White House for two Presidents. Psaki also weaves in personal stories as a mother trying to answer her young daughter’s inquiries such as, “Why do wars start?” and “Have you ever seen a unicorn?” Jen Psaki joins Chicago Humanities for a conversation on giving and receiving feedback, how to actively listen, advice on how to be a more effective communicator in any situation, and, of course, how all of this applies to the political news of the day.
