Sisters of Light Meditative Concert
Immerse yourself in an ethereal world during this special Sunday Matinee performance. Soprano Moira Murphy brings her arrangements of the chants of Hildegard von Bingen to the historic Rosehill Cemetery in conversation with some of her own compositions and well-known Americana melodies. This hour of vocal music accompanied by synth and world percussion is a moment for you to meditate and hear unforgettable melodies in a 100-year old chapel.
A classical soprano, music director, and arranger in East Tennessee, Moira has traveled the country both with her Hildegard material and her operatic progressive metal band Oryad, and has performed in operas in the US, Scotland, and Morocco. A former resident of the Windy City, she is excited to return to share this program.
