On Saturday October 10th, Chicago Zine Fest (CZF) will celebrate its 15th year of bringing together independent publishers from the Chicago area, the Midwest, and beyond. We'll have almost 100 exhibitors and we expect nearly 2,000 visitors to attend. In proud partnership with the Chicago Public Library, CZF 2026 will be held in the beautiful Winter Garden of the Harold Washington Library Center (400 S State St) from 11 am to 4 pm. This year's fest will feature our first youth exhibitor space, with local young zinesters sharing their work, as well as hands-on activities such as collage making, bookbinding, linocut stamp making, button making, and a typewriter zoo. Join us for our two workshops: an Illustrated Exquisite Corpse Workshop at 1 pm or a Fantasy Character Design Workshop at 2:30 pm. We're especially proud to host an Indigenous Zinester Panel this year, featuring Indigenous zinesters and artists from Chicago, Albuquerque, and Portland, Oregon. They'll be sharing their artwork and writing that challenges dominant narratives with storytelling and radical archival histories. The panel starts at 11:30 am. All CZF events are free, open to all ages, and wheelchair accessible. Find all the details at chicagozinefest.org.
