Goose Island’s 312 DAY is back on Thursday, March 12 with a chance to win 312 Beer for a year. 312 DAY was made an official holiday by the Mayor in 2014, and for years, Goose Island has brought the city together to drink 312 Beer and celebrate all things Chicago.
This year’s celebration features a gigantic, 7-foot-tall 312 Beer case built to tour around the city. But how many cans are inside the case? One lucky winner who correctly guesses how many cans are in the case will win a year's worth of 312 Beer on Goose Island.
Locals who catch a glimpse of it are encouraged to scan the truck's QR code or visit www.gooseisland.com/312beerforayear on 312 DAY starting 12:00am CST, where they can then guess how many beer cans are inside the massive case for a shot at winning a year’s worth of 312 Beer money.
Those who missed the truck are welcome to join all-day celebrations at Goose Island’s Taproom and Salt Shed Pub. The festivities will feature free pizza from some local favorites at the Taproom and free Italian beef sandwiches at the Salt Shed Pub. Both locations will have $3 312s on draft all day. From 12:00-9:00 pm, the Goose Island Taproom will host an all-day celebration honoring 312 and the city that shaped it. Free pizza from famous local spots, will be served every hour on the hour, alongside $3 312 Beers poured throughout the day, transforming the Taproom into a rotating tribute to the city’s most beloved pizza spots.
Goose Island Salt Shed Pub

From 12:00-10:00pm, Goose Island Salt Shed Pub highlights another Chicago classic with free Italian Beefs available throughout the day and $3 312 Beers that come with free views of the Chicago river.

Goose Island first launched the holiday in 2011 to honor its 312 Beer in the city to which the beer is dedicated. In its inaugural year, Goose Island employees started taking March 12 off to enjoy 312 and it soon became a tradition over the years, as we’ve invited Chicago to celebrate the holiday with us. In 2014, the mayor of Chicago joined in, declaring 312 Day an official holiday, and Goose Island has brought something new and exciting every year since.
