The Italian Cultural Institute of Chicago, in collaboration with Roosevelt University, presents a piano and violin concert featuring Elena Mattuecci and Sebastian Zagame.
Elena and Sebastian performed together for the first time in 2020 at the Rome Chamber Festival in the magnificent Palazzo Barberini, where every year young talents are invited to play together with professional musicians. From that delightful encounter, the idea of playing together. During their performance a special chemistry between them is created, with a fascinating combination of vivid freshness and solid liberty of Piano.
The program starts with a romantic repertoire (Brahms Sonata op.108 in D minor), followed by excerpts of film scores. The concert ends with “Italian Movie Music”, a selection of Italian cinema soundtracks, arranged for the occasion by Italian composer and pianist Alessandro Bonanno.
Free admission. No registrations required.
