Naperville Diamond Chips - Free Softball Clinics

Naperville Diamond Chips Free Softball Clinics – Final Chance to Join the 2025–2026 Season The Naperville Diamonds Softball Association is thrilled to announce the final two free clinics for the 2025–2026 Diamond Chips 8U program. These clinics are a special opportunity for families with girls ages 6, 7, and 8 (born after September 1, 2016) to experience the game of fastpitch softball in a fun, supportive, and developmental environment. For over three decades, the Naperville Diamonds have been a cornerstone of girls’ athletics in the community. The Diamond Chips program, in particular, is designed to introduce the youngest athletes to the sport in a way that emphasizes both skill development and character building. Players will learn the basics of hitting, fielding, throwing, pitching, and base running while also developing confidence, discipline, and teamwork. The program not only prepares athletes for higher levels of competition but also fosters a love for the game that lasts well beyond childhood. Final Free Clinic Dates: Tuesday, September 30 | 5:30–7:30 PM (Frontier Park, Field 5) Monday, October 6 | 5:30–7:30 PM (Frontier Park, Field 5) Clinics will be held at Frontier Park Sports Complex, 3380 Cedar Glade Drive, Naperville, IL. Parking is available near the Neuqua Valley Freshman Center and surrounding areas. Parents must attend the first clinic with their player. Athletes should bring a glove, water bottle, and gym shoes or cleats. Families are required to contact Coach Mo at least two days prior to attending by emailing [email protected] . “These clinics are a fantastic introduction to the game,” said Coach Mo Hohman, who leads the Diamond Chips. “The energy is incredible. The girls leave each clinic smiling, proud of what they’ve learned, and eager for more. It’s amazing to watch their confidence grow in just a short time.” Following the clinics, families will have the chance to register for the full 2025–2026 Diamond Chips season, which runs November through June. The program includes 10–12 winter clinics for focused training and skill building, followed by 12 spring games and a championship tournament. Players may also have opportunities to participate on All-Star teams, offering even more chances for growth and competition. Practices and games are hosted at local Naperville parks and facilities, ensuring accessibility for families in District 203, District 204, and nearby communities. The Naperville Diamonds Softball Association is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to provide high-quality softball experiences for young athletes in Naperville and the surrounding areas. Each year, more than 350 girls participate in Diamonds programs, ranging from introductory clinics to competitive travel teams. The organization emphasizes not only athletic achievement but also sportsmanship, leadership, and community involvement. Many players who begin in the Diamond Chips program go on to play for advanced Diamonds teams, compete in high school softball, and even continue into collegiate athletics. The program has a long history of producing well-rounded athletes who carry the lessons they learn on the field into their academic and personal lives. These final free clinics represent the last chance for families to get involved before the 2025–2026 season begins. Spots are limited, and advance communication with Coach Mo is required to attend. For families who may be curious about the sport or looking for a positive, team-oriented activity for their daughters, this is the ideal opportunity to give softball a try without commitment.
