NAACP Hammond Branch Invites Community to 2026 Freedom Fund Luncheon
The NAACP Hammond, Indiana Branch warmly invites the community to attend its 2026 Freedom Fund Luncheon Saturday, September 12, from noon to 3 p.m. at Dynasty Banquet Hall, 4141 Calumet Avenue, Hammond, Indiana.
This year’s national NAACP theme, “We, the People,” celebrates our shared commitment to justice, equality and community empowerment while honoring those whose leadership strengthens our communities.
The Hammond Branch is proud to welcome Dr. Vanessa Allen-McCloud, president and CEO of the Urban League of Northwest Indiana, as the Special Guest Speaker. During the luncheon, Dr. Allen-McCloud will also receive the 2026 NAACP Hammond Branch Community Service Award in recognition of her exceptional leadership and dedicated service to Northwest Indiana.
The afternoon will feature the presentation of scholarships to outstanding local students, A Taste of Motown music and special appearances by distinguished community leaders and honored guests.
Tickets are available for a $50 donation per person. Community members are also encouraged to support this important event by becoming sponsors, purchasing commemorative program advertisements or making donations. Proceeds help fund student scholarships and support the NAACP Hammond Branch’s ongoing advocacy, educational initiatives and community programs.
