NAACP Hammond Branch Announces 2025 Scholarship Luncheon
Hammond, Indiana – The NAACP Hammond Branch is proud to announce the 2025 NAACP Scholarship Luncheon, a special event celebrating academic excellence and leadership among local youth. This year’s luncheon will take place on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Dynasty Banquet Hall, located at 4141 Calumet Avenue in Hammond, Indiana.
The annual luncheon serves as an opportunity to recognize and honor local students who have demonstrated resilience, leadership, and a commitment to their communities. The event will feature a full open buffet, music by DJ AC Williams, and inspiring messages from political and civil rights leaders.
"Through this luncheon, we celebrate the incredible achievements of our youth and reinforce the importance of investing in the next generation," said Reverend Homer Cobb, President of the NAACP Hammond Branch. “We are incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received from the community, which allows us to continue empowering our youth and advancing civil rights in Northwest Indiana.”
The luncheon is a free event for all attendees, and the NAACP Hammond Branch is seeking sponsorships, donations, and in-kind contributions to make this year’s event a success. Contributions help cover event costs and ensure that all students and their families are able to attend without charge. Ways to contribute include sponsoring a table or student, making a monetary donation, providing in-kind services, or helping spread the word.
“This is an opportunity to come together as a community to support our future leaders and affirm our commitment to justice, equality, and education,” Cobb added. Free tickets will be available until September 5, 2025.
