Repair Fair with Community Glue

Bring what you have that's broken and the fixers from Community Glue will try to repair it! Furniture, electronics, bicycles, jewelry, clothing.... you name it! REPAIRS ARE ALWAYS FREE! Don't trash it -- fix it! Drop it off early then we'll text you when it is ready for pickup by the end of the day. There is no cost to have Community Glue volunteers look at, and hopefully fix, your items! We have a hard stop at 3pm, so please bring your items on the early side to ensure we have time to work on it. THINGS WE FIX Clothes (please wash in advance and note that we do NOT do alterations, only mends--our time is limited) Kitchen appliances Ceramics Small furniture (chairs, etc.) Toys Knick-knacks & tchotchkes Broken Hearts? I mean, I think we're pretty good looking. ...basically, just bring in anything and we'll do what we can (unless it's a printer -- NO printers. ) HOW THIS WORKS *Please wash any clothing you want us to mend. It's the right thing to do and one of our few hardline requirements. We have our reasons! Again, we do not do alterations on clothing. This takes too long and we don't have capacity. We do fix tears, add patches, and do visible and invisible mends. We have a parking lot and there's plenty of street parking (all free) Bring your item(s) to the check-in table off the parking lot and explain what's wrong, then y'all are free to get a coffee shop the CCRx Warehouse, visit the Dan Ryan Woods, check out the area, run to the bank, write a poem, master some origami, etc. We'll take your cell phone number and will text or call you when the repair is complete! All items must be collected by the end of the day or you risk having the item discarded. MORE ABOUT THE CLINICS We've been doing this since 2012! We frequently operate out of Bluestem Restoration on North Leavitt, but we love visiting the SW side : ) We've got handy volunteers and tools available to fix just about anything, provided it doesn't require a special part or isn't going to explode. We honestly have a ton of fun doing this. While we have a donation jar to help us replenish our supplies, we believe with all our hearts that payment should never be a barrier and it's 100% okay to not tip.
