Served Up: World’s 50 Best Bar Nobody’s Darling at Chateau Carbide
On November 8th, James Beard Award finalist Nobody’s Darling will shake up some sips created by Beverage Manager Chasity Beasley at the Carbide & Carbon Building’s botanically driven, absinthe-inspired rooftop, Chateau Carbide. Since opening in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood in 2021, the LQBTQ-led Nobody’s Darling team has made a name for themselves through thoughtfully crafted cocktails and inclusive ambiance, championing a space for spirit enthusiasts of all orientations and backgrounds. Owned and operated by Angela Barnes and Renauda Riddle, Nobody’s Darling will take its cocktail talents to new heights for a one-night-only, public pop-up in the heart of Chicago’s Magnificent Mile. From 5 - 10 p.m., patrons are invited to order from Nobody’s Darling’s curated menu, meet the team, and enjoy stellar city sights from Chateau Carbide’s indoor-outdoor lounge, which will be in full Winter Garden mode. Libations will include Gwendolyn’s Verse with Uncle Nearest Whiskey, banana and cinnamon, the Celebrate With Me cranberry Negroni with sparkling rose and sweet vermouth, and the Kahlo Margarita with John Basil reposado tequila, passion fruit liquor, and habanero bitters. Reservations are encouraged and can be made via OpenTable. Walk-ins will be welcomed, space permitting.
