Join us for the opening reception of ChingARTE: The Poetics of DEFIANCE featuring the work of Salvador Jiménez-Flores, Gabriel Villa, & Ricardo Santos Hernández. This exhibition brings together three longtime comrades—Ricardo Santos Hernández, Salvador Jiménez-Flores, and Gabriel Villa—each with a distinct and expansive approach to artmaking. Their works tap into both the universal and the deeply personal, drawing from years of creative practice rooted in the city of Chicago. Individually and collectively, these artists embody a relentless commitment to art and critical thought. ChingARTE features a dynamic range of 2D, and 3D works that challenge, provoke, and celebrate the transformative power of creativity. The concept of ChingARTE comes with teeth—these works are born from rebellion, social critique, and cultural figurative abstraction. They exist in the tension between beauty and defiance, offering a bold and unapologetic visual language. The exhibition continues through April 14, 2026
