Join Chicago Training Center (CTC) for the Power20 Gala, a milestone celebration honoring 20 years of expanding access to rowing and creating opportunities for Chicago youth.
For two decades, CTC has worked to remove financial barriers to the sport of rowing, providing young people with access to coaching, equipment, competition, mentorship, and a team community at no cost to their families. What began as a commitment to making rowing more accessible has grown into a program that uses sport as a vehicle for confidence, leadership, teamwork, fitness, and connection.
Power20 celebrates the athletes, alumni, families, coaches, volunteers, donors, partners, and community members who have helped shape CTC over the past 20 years, while looking ahead to the opportunities still to come.
Guests will gather at the historic Chicago Cultural Center for an inspiring evening featuring dinner, celebration, stories of impact, and special guest speaker Arshay Cooper, an award-winning author, rower, and nationally recognized advocate for expanding access to the sport.
The evening will highlight the extraordinary young people at the heart of CTC and the collective power of a community committed to ensuring that opportunity is not determined by a family’s ability to pay.
As CTC enters its next chapter, Power20 is more than an anniversary celebration. It is an investment in the next generation of Chicago youth and in the continued growth of a program that has spent 20 years opening doors, building teams, and helping young people discover what they are capable of achieving.
