Join us for the first installment of the Charnley Conversations lecture series, hosted by the Society of Architectural Historians and the Charnley-Persky House Museum. This lecture, Past & Present Preservation: Women in Architecture & Preservation, is produced in partnership with Edith Farnsworth House.
About the event:
Curator Rebekah Coffman, architectural historian and preservationist Elizabeth Blasius, and architect Alicia Ponce converse about their collective knowledge and experience as women in preservation and architecture.
While preservation conserves the past, it also very much focuses on the future. These three speakers will discuss about how women have shaped these fields in Chicago and beyond, and how they intend to shape it going forward.
Join us for glass of wine, refreshments, and light bites at 5:30PM, followed by the presentation, and more conversation afterwards. Proceeds will support the continued preservation of the Edith Farnsworth House and the Charnley-Persky House Museum.
