In honor of National Make a Difference in a Child's Life Month, seven restaurants throughout Chicago are teaming up to make a positive impact by pledging to donate a portion of their sales to Greater Chicago Food Depository throughout the month of July. These philanthropic partners strive to end hunger by connecting neighbors with healthy food and advancing solutions that address the root causes of hunger.
The following establishments have joined hands with Greater Chicago Food Depository in this initiative:
• Adobo Grill - 20% of sales of Famous Guacamole
• Amerikas - 50% of sales from Double Cheeseburger
• Cesar's - 100% of proceeds from Kid’s Menu items sold in July
• Marina’s Bistro - 100% of proceeds from every Flan ordered in July
• Mirella’s Tavern - 50% of sales of Angry Chef’s award-winning Mirella’s Burger
• Tatas Tacos - 10% of sales on Wednesdays, at all three locations
• Vinci - 20% of all pizzas sold.
From delectable starters to mouthwatering burgers, tantalizing tacos to gourmet pizzas, there are numerous ways to dine out in July and show support for this organization that is making a significant difference in the Chicago community.
About The Greater Chicago Food Depository
The Greater Chicago Food Depository, Chicago’s food bank, believes a healthy community starts with food. For more than 40 years, the Food Depository has worked to nourish Chicago. We are at the center of a network of more than 800 partner organizations and programs – food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, mobile distributions and other partners – working to bring food and support to our neighbors across Chicago and Cook County. The Food Depository addresses the root causes of hunger with job training, advocacy and other solutions. We are a proud member of Feeding America – the national network of food banks.
