Illusion of Safety, Slow Slow Loris (Berlin), Dathon, eXU-9
Slow Slow Loris (Berlin) is a duo whose industrial noise melodies merge with visceral avant-garde to create epic and delicate storms of sound that worship the unknown, a sonic sorcery through voice and electronics. Based in both Berlin and the US, they have released albums on Cloister Recordings, Zaetraom, & Staaltape and have toured Europe, Russia, and the USA.
Illusion of Safety has persisted in the Chicago music scene and beyond since 1983 traversing many zones of experimentation, from post-industrial decay to musique concrète-inspired collage. For this event founding member Daniel Burke is pairing up with Janna Lee (SNEK trio) and Blake Edwards (Vertonen) to present the long-awaited hardcore power electronics version of the project.
