The Anger Project: Film Screening & Collective Reflection

The Anger Project is currently creating a documentary-style film series, each short film highlighting one person’s anger story through movement and conversation. During this gathering, we will share one of these films, The Anger Project: Celina's Story, a short documentary that follows Celina Fierro, a queer, sober barber and artist whose barbershop has become a space of healing, honesty, and chosen family. Told entirely in her own voice, the film explores how one person navigates addiction, anger, and identity, not through institutions or systems, but through, creativity, perseverance, and deep community connection. Filmed in a deeply intimate and observational style, the footage captures Celina through a typical day in her life. Cutting hair in the barbershop. Lifting weights at the gym. Performing late-night DJ sets. Her narration overlays these scenes, offering raw, unfiltered reflection on what it takes to stay sober, stay connected, and stay human. Rather than presenting recovery as a linear journey or a completed arc, the film sits with the reality of ongoing struggle, and the strength it takes to keep showing up. Runtime: 22 minutes After the film there will be time for collective reflection.
