Experience a brand-new ballet from choreographer Julianna Rubio Slager, premiering during Hispanic Heritage month, called "La Llorona." It reimagines the classic Mexican folktale and navigates the complexity of postpartum depression, especially in minority communities. Ballet 5:8 will be presenting this work with the National Museum of Mexican Art and the RAICES Chicago Story Coalition. Guests can savor assortment of luxury teas from Rare Tea Cellars alongside dill cucumber sandwiches, macarons and assorted danishes, while enjoying a truly special performance.Tickets are priced at $45 per adult and $25 per child (ages 4-12) and include a selection of luxury teas from Rare Tea Cellar, one glass of Prosecco if you are 21+, dill cucumber sandwiches, truffle popcorn, assorted pastries and macaroons, and access to the Ballet 5:8 performance.
