Colon Cancer Awareness Month - Free Screening
1 in 23 people will be diagnosed with colon cancer. Despite being the second leading cause of cancer death, colon cancer is the most treatable form of cancer when caught early. During National Colon Cancer Awareness Month this March, Chicagoland is invited to get screened and informed. Some highlights at the event include:
- Tour a Giant Inflatable Colon: A fun interactive way to explore colon health.
- Get Screened: Eligible patients may be able to receive either a blood test, a free FIT kit, or find out where they can sign up for a colonoscopy. (Those interested in screening must bring a valid ID and insurance card).
- Talk to Health Experts: Ask doctors questions to get tips for a healthier gut.
