Invasion of the Scarecrow Pick up and Purchase

The Historical Society of Forest Park and the Forest Park Arts Alliance are once again teaming up this fall on their annual Invasion of the Scarecrows fundraiser. And the scarecrows are not just back—they're gaining in numbers! This year, we’ll have another 100 scarecrows available, and up to 300 scarecrows will “invade” Forest Park in October. Do you want to participate? It’s as easy as 1 – 2 – 3: Order your kit(s). Get one or a bunch, and create a whole scene. Order early before we’re sold out! Pick up your kit(s) at the Park District’s Fall Fest on September 6th. Additional purchase and pick up times September 13th and 20th 10:00 am -2:00 pm at 7410 Madison Decorate your scarecrow(s) and display them in front of your home or business throughout the month of October. NEW THIS YEAR: Scholarship Scarecrows!This year we’re offering Scholarship Scarecrows so that more people can join the fun! Want to participate but cost is a barrier? You can now sign up (tinyurl.com/ScarecrowScholarship) to be entered into a drawing to receive a Scholarship Scarecrow kit for free. Want to help others participate? Choose the “Scholarship Scarecrow” option when ordering to become a benefactor. For every Scholarship Scarecrow purchased, we’ll draw one winner from our applicant pool. The more purchased, the more we can give away! Your scarecrow(s) from previous years can be on the map again for only $5. Just re-use last year’s sign.
