Family Fall Fun Day
The day kicks off with My First Movies, a short film program tailored for our youngest viewers (ages 2-5), featuring a live performance from Old Town School of Folk Music’s Wiggleworms! With space to move around and a dim (not dark) theater, this program offers a safe, joyful environment for caregivers and children to enjoy sweet stories together, sparking a love for cinema.
Next up is Storytime, a captivating film program for children ages 8-10, filled with engaging stories from around the world. The fun doesn’t stop with the films—activities will take place throughout the day in the lounge and studio areas. Parents can relax with cider and warm donuts while kids join an animal dance party hosted by the Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble, try their hand at stop-motion animation, or get creative at our art-making tables.
As we gear up for our afternoon feature, The Fantastic Mr. Fox, kids can craft their own fox masks, try fox-themed origami, or participate in fun, animal-inspired activities led by local performers. It’s a full day of fun for the whole family!
