Building Brighter Futures Hosts "Prom Readiness Fashion Design Sewing Workshop" Sponsored by LURE Boutique - The Gift of Glamour with The Chicago Area Project Chicago, IL – March 17, 2025 – Building Brighter Futures, in collaboration with LURE Boutique - The Gift of Glamour and The Chicago Area Project, is excited to announce the "Prom Readiness Fashion Design Sewing Workshop," an exciting unique one-day event designed to empower high school juniors and seniors. This workshop will take place on March 23, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Building Brighter Futures, 1512 South Pulaski Road, Chicago, Illinois 60623.
The "Prom Readiness Fashion Design Sewing Workshop" allows young ladies to learn creative ways to upscale donated pre-worn prom dresses. Participants will be able to put their special design imprints on their dresses while being exposed to some artistic fashion industry techniques. This hands-on experience will enhance their creativity and instill a sense of pride in the uniqueness of their creations.
This workshop is ideal for those who plan to wear the dress themselves or for those who wish to explore the art and career of transforming something old into a personalized expression of style. By the end of the workshop, participants will have gained valuable skills and confidence in their design abilities.
