Thanksgiving: 2016
Thanksgiving and turkey go together…but Thanksgiving and politics? Danger! Chaos, family secrets, and domestic dysfunction explode at the home of Harry and Renee West after the 2016 presidential election. The father, a staunch Hillary supporter who had a nervous breakdown on election night, is blindsided by his son bringing home his Trump-supporting girlfriend for Thanksgiving. Meanwhile, Mom is dealing with husband Harry's breakdown by uncorking Chardonnay and snapping selfies for Instagram. It’s up to son Eric to keep Brittany's support for Trump secret from his emotional father while keeping his parent's marriage from going up in flames…along with the turkey. The stellar cast of Tom Hollis (Harry), Donna Norcross (Renee), Matt Howie (Eric) and Michelle Strom (Brittany) bring the twists and turns of this play to life. Eight performances Nov. 9 – 19, Thu 7:30pm, Fri/Sat 8pm, Sun 3pm. Just in time for the Holidays, Thanksgiving: 2016 is written and directed by award-winning, local playwright, Elaine Alexander.
