Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Carolinas Realty Presents 'Sips for Sunshine,' a Joyful Event in Support of The Sunshine Kids, at Town Brewing Co.
Charlotte, NC (November 3, 2023) - Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Carolinas Realty and Town Brewing Co. are teaming up to host "Sips for Sunshine," a heartwarming event in support of The Sunshine Kids. Mark your calendars for Thursday, November 30th, from 4 PM to 10 PM, at Town Brewing Co. located at 800 Grandin Rd, Charlotte, NC 28208.
"Sips for Sunshine" is a unique opportunity for the local community to come together for an evening of live music by "No Business Mountain", delicious local food trucks, and exciting prize opportunities through raffle drawings. Town Brewing Co. will generously donate $1 of every pint sold to The Sunshine Kids, a national nonprofit organization that brightens the lives of children battling cancer.
The Sunshine Kids Foundation was founded in 1982 by Rhoda Tomasco, a dedicated volunteer in a pediatric cancer unit in Houston, Texas. After seeing the loneliness and depression among these children during their extended hospital treatments, Rhoda had a vision. She wanted to provide these young cancer patients with opportunities to participate in positive group activities, which would promote self-esteem, a sense of personal accomplishment, and plain old-fashioned fun! The Sunshine Kids has been turning this vision into a reality for thousands of children across the country, providing all its activities completely free of charge to the children and their families.
