Clay Coil Bowl Class
In this class, Laura Holling Kaplan, master clay sculptor, will guide you through hand-building steps and show you texture techniques to allow you to create a Clay Coil Bowl.
The possibilities are endless! Make a basket design or a bowl design. Use them for Fruit, Bread, Pasta, Popcorn and more.
We will be using white clay to roll clay coils and Laura will show you how to make different designs out of these coils. Then you will build your bowl.
This class was created for Novice, Non-Artsy Folks! NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED (No Kidding)
Once your piece is completed, Laura will take it back to her studio to dry and give it a bisque kiln firing. The second firing will be done by dipping your bowl in a clear, food-safe glaze.
Emails will be sent out to let you know your creation is finished. They will be delivered back to your class site for pick up.
Your creation will be around for years to come and best of all... it will be MICROWAVE & DISHWASHER SAFE!
