Young Artist Studio Series: 6 Week Drawing + Painting Class (2nd to 8th grades)
This 6-week series is designed for young artists in 2nd through 8th grade who want to delve into and master the basics of a practice. Our teaching artists will guide students through the fundamentals of their chosen medium, fostering creativity and encouraging exploration.
In this studio series, participants will explore the fundamentals of drawing including line, shape, shading, and perspective using a variety of materials, including pencils, charcoal, watercolor and acrylic paints. These classes have a flexible curriculum so teaching artists can adapt to the student's needs. All levels welcome and all materials provided.
Class will meet weekly on Wednesdays. Students in grades 2nd through 5th will meet from 4:30-5:30 PM, and those in grades 6th to 8th will meet from 6:00-7:00 PM. Class dates are April 10, April 17, April 24, May 1, May 8, and May 15. The total cost for all 6 classes is $150.
