Sunday Supper (Sept 7): A Southern Supper
This week, we're highlighting what is still showing up at the farmer's markets in September, before they make way for pumpkins, apples, and other fall favorites.
SNACK PLATE - Lolo Cheddar Biscuits (a mini biscuit that’s like a cheese straw). B&B pickles. Deviled egg.
END OF SUMMER SALAD - Local zucchini marinated in white wine vinegar. Burrata. Pickled local corn. Torn basil. Cherry tomatoes. Herb vinaigrette drizzle (aka salsa verde).
FRIED CHICKEN PLATE - Buttermilk brined, crispy fried chicken. Served family style with: Roasted okra. Southern eggplant casserole. Cream peas with smoked ham hock. Collard greens.
PEACH COBBLER - Carolina peach cobbler. Local basil gelato.
