Sunday Supper (Oct 12): German Night
This menu is a line up of some of her favorite things from when her family lived in Germany. (It was hard to pick just a few.)
KARTOFFELPUFFER - German potato pancakes. Local apple sauce. Sour cream. Chive.
KURBISÜPPE - A warming butternut squash soup made with potatoes, carrots, onions, and a touch of cream. Creme fraiche drizzle. Herb garnish.
JAEGERSCHNITZEL - Crispy breaded pork cutlet with a rich mushroom gravy. Served with Spaetzle (house made Swabian egg noodles), Rotkohl (Braised red cabbage with local apple) & Speckbohnen (sautéed green beans with speck)
BIENENSTICH KUCHEN (BEE STING CAKE) - Yeasted cake. Vanilla pastry cream. Honey almond crunch.
