For the final installment in the series, Curator of Historic Textiles Virginia Theerman will be in conversation with mixed media artist Camela Guevara. Together they will talk about textile design, sustainable reuse of materials, and artistic labor. This lecture closes out our series for the current exhibition The Art of Abstraction: Modernism in Quilting, and will introduce themes to be explored in the upcoming show Lovely & Lethal: Killer Fashions from the Collection.
