2024 Youth Symposium/Project Alpha
This year, the Kappa Rho Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and Xi Phi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. have collaborated to host our national programs, Youth Symposium and Project Alpha, for the first time ever! This event is sponsored by the City of Goose Creek Recreation Department.
Youth Symposium is an annual national program of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated. It is geared towards the theme, "H3: It’s All About Me - Healthy Choices, Healthy Living and Healthy Generations," which is the overarching theme of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.'s national signature program, Project Reassurance.
Project Alpha is designed to provide education, motivation, and skill-building on issues of responsibility, relationships, teen pregnancy, and more.
This year's theme is "Supporting, Serving, and Empowering Our Youth Educationally, Civically, Socially, Physically, and Emotionally: Health is Wealth!"
This is a FREE, fun event with educational workshops, guest speakers, interactive activities, lunch, vendors, and giveaways for youth ages 8 to 18.
