Dr. Russaw has lectured or presented at events for PBS, the Association of Theological Schools, and the Society of Biblical Literature, and events at many universities and seminaries. She received her Ph.D. in Hebrew Bible and Ancient Israel from Vanderbilt University. There will be two sessions, a lecture-discussion: "Something Baaaaaaaad is Happening in Bethlehem: Attending to Violence in the Biblical Text", and an interactive Bible study: "Dealing with Difficult Texts".
