Join us for an informative workshop focused on keeping your back strong, supported, and comfortable in both your yoga practice and in daily life. You don’t need to be currently experiencing back pain to join us - this workshop is designed to help you care for your spine now, so it will stay strong and healthy over time.
TYS teacher Pat Francis will share simple techniques and practical strategies to help prevent back
discomfort, along with mindful ways to approach and modify common yoga postures. We’ll also explore
how to use props effectively to create support, space, and ease.
You’ll learn how your breath can serve as a foundation for a strong and supported spine, and how
alignment throughout the body—especially through the hips and pelvis—plays an important role in low
back health. While we’ll explore the whole spine, there will be a gentle focus on the lower back.
You’ll leave with practical tools, including a short, easy-to-follow practice you can incorporate into your
daily routine. Open to all levels. No experience necessary.
