Kidney Disease Information
Kidney disease refers to conditions that impair kidney function, leading to the buildup of waste and excess fluids in the body. Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a long-term condition that can progressively reduce kidney function over time, often with few early symptoms.
Risk factors for CKD include:
Diabetes
High blood pressure
Heart disease
A family history of kidney disease
Dr. Sheth, Dr. Gulati, and Dr. Ojeda-Damas are huge supporters of this walk and informing the community about Kidney disease. This is the time for everyone to come together and spread the awareness that 1 in 7 U.S. adults are prone to have CKD. We must educate SWFL and create knowledge of being treated early on.
