The Rascals Bring “Rockin’ the Holidays” to Downtown Bonita Springs
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees to Headline New Holiday Tradition at Riverside Park
BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. — Downtown Bonita Springs is getting a new holiday tradition—and it’s going to rock.
On Friday, December 11, legendary Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees The Rascals will take the stage at the newly renovated Riverside Park on Old 41 Road for The Rascals Rockin’ the Holidays, an evening of classic rock, holiday favorites and community celebration.
Featuring original founding members Felix Cavaliere and Gene Cornish, The Rascals will perform some of their most enduring hits, including “Good Lovin’,” “Groovin’,” “People Got to Be Free” and “A Beautiful Morning.” The band will also put a holiday spin on favorites including “Run, Run Rudolph,” “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town” and “White Christmas,” along with additional seasonal selections.
The concert will take place beneath the City of Bonita Springs’ holiday light display, creating a festive backdrop for an evening designed to bring families, residents and visitors together.
Presented by Uplift Bonita, a 501(c)(3) foundation, the concert is also designed to make a meaningful difference in the local community. One hundred percent of the net proceeds from The Rascals Rockin’ the Holidays will support Arts Bonita Scholarships, helping provide access to arts education for children who might otherwise lack the opportunity.
“This is a wonderful gift to our residents and visitors alike,” said Jim Magnus, President of Uplift Bonita. “With tickets starting at $39, and children 12 and under admitted free with a paid adult, we hope this will become a favorite holiday tradition.”
Magnus added, “Funding local causes is important all year, but Christmas time has a special feel. And it’s pretty cool having a legendary group like The Rascals, with original founding members Felix Cavaliere and Gene Cornish, playing Riverside Park. This is going to be fun.”
The event is the first in what Uplift Bonita hopes will become a year-long calendar of entertainment and community events in downtown Bonita Springs. Through ticket sales, sponsorships and corporate partnerships, the organization is creating opportunities for the community to enjoy live entertainment while directly supporting local charitable initiatives.
