Lighting of the Village, Jingle & Jammies

Join Fishermen’s Village at the annual LIGHTING OF THE VILLAGE, Saturday, November 15, 2025 Join us as we celebrate this magical evening with an all new Pajama Party Theme! Punta Gorda, FL —We’ve added a whole new element of fun to this year’s Lighting of the Village! It’s a Jingle & Jammies huge Pajama Party! You’re invited to wear your favorite Christmas jammies as we come together as a community to celebrate the kickoff of Fishermen’s Village Festival of Lights. We’ll even have a “Best Family Jammies” contest! This unforgettable, family-fun celebration will display a record number of lights glistening around every turn and delightful décor throughout the Village. Visitors of all ages will enjoy strolling past storefronts, listening to beautiful traditional holiday music, and gazing up at our Village trees trimmed with ornaments. There will be a multitude of photo op areas! Start your evening (remember, in your jammies!) at Sunset Beach Club as the Shane Duncan Band takes the stage at 5:00 pm. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive at 5:45 pm via the Punta Gorda Fire Department, followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony culminating in the grand Lighting of the Village at 6:15 pm! And, rumor has it. . . The Grinch and Cindy Lou Who will be ready for you to snap a selfie with them! Our independently owned shops, boutiques and restaurants will celebrate the evening by offering complimentary samples of holiday goodies as you browse for the perfect gift for everyone on your Christmas list! Schedule/timeline for evening: • Live Music featuring Shane Duncan Band 5-10 pm, Sunset Beach • Santa Arrives at 5:45 pm via PG Fire Department • Ribbon Cutting Ceremony begins 6 pm, stage just inside main entrance • Official Lighting of the Village at 6:15 pm • Guns and Hoses Pipes and Drums Parade through Village after the lights are illuminated • Bag Piper vignettes in multiple locations, 6:30-8:30 pm • Asian Community Dance Crew Lighted Wing Fairy performers, various locations, 5-8 pm • Live Holiday Music featuring Sax Player, Henry Albanese, 5-9 pm, Center Court • Singer/Musician Mark Gorka, 5-9 pm, third section of the Village • Family Pajama Contest, 7:00 pm, across from King Fisher Fleet • Visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, The Grinch and Cindy Lou Who until 9 pm after Lighting • Barefoot Beauty Fairy Hair 5-9 pm, Harborwalk, beginning of third section • Clique Photo Booth Fun Photos, 5-9 pm, first section of Village • Jesse Ink’d Tattoos 5-9 pm, shark deck, second section of Village • Merchants will be open until 9 pm for your holiday shopping Your “Admission” to the Lighting of the Village. . . please consider a financial donation at The Backpack Kidz booths which will be located at front entrance and end of first section (next to Bijoux).
