Gel plate printmaking is a newer method that involves layering up paint on a soft, gelatinous plate. This class will cover the basics of printmaking using a gel plate and how to use different texture, masking, image transfer and stenciling methods to make prints. Gel printing is like collaging with paint, you can mix many layers of textures and imagery to make a new composition. This method is extremely beginner friendly. Teaching Artist: Emma Brittain-Hardy Things to note: • Makers of all skill levels are welcome. This class is suitable for ages teen+. • All necessary tools and materials to participate are provided.
