Bookmaking Workshop: Single Sheet Structures, Thursdays November 7 & 14, 2024
How many different books can you make with a single sheet of paper? Turns out dozens! In this TWO session class you will learn how to fold and cut 10 different single sheet structures and create a soft cover box to house them. No gluing. No sewing. Participants must attend both sessions – see registration form for both dates.
This class is geared towards beginners and seasoned bookmakers alike – we welcome makers of all skill levels. Join us!
The structures we’ll make:
8 page book AKA mini zine
8 page book, t-cut
8 page accordion
14 page book, do-si-do
16 page book, zig zag
16 page book, spiral
32 page book, zig zag
32 page book, spiral
Turkish map fold, square
Turkish map fold, rectangle
Soft cover box
This workshop is hosted in two evening sessions, participants must attend both dates: Thursdays, November 7 & 14, 6-7:30pm
Things to note:
• Makers of all skill levels are welcome. This class is suitable for ages teen+
• All necessary tools to participate are provided.
