Inclusive Theater of WNY (ITOWNY) proudly presents Gary Earl Ross' "Split Wit"


Inclusive Theater of Western New York is back for its 2023-2024 season and will present their first theatrical production in collaboration with Paul Robeson Theatre, “Split Wit” written by local playwright and author Gary Earl Ross. About the playwright: Retired UB professor Gary Earl Ross is an award-winning writer of mysteries for the stage and page. His plays include Picture Perfect, Stoker’s Guest, The Guns of Christmas, The Mark of Cain, The Trial of Trayvon Martin, and the Edgar Award winning Matter of Intent. His books include the historical novel Blackbird Rising and the Gideon Rimes mysteries Nickel City Blues, NC Crossfire, NC Storm Warning, and NC Naked Lady. Ross lives in Buffalo. About the play: Follow Detective Maxine Travis as she delves into a world of split brain syndrome, secrets, and unexpected twists that will keep you guessing until the very end! Travis must unravel a web of relationships to find the killer. But who can she trust when everyone is a suspect? Split Wit is a must-see for fans of suspense, intrigue, and a good whodunit. Produced by Aimee Levesque, written by Gary Earl Ross and Directed by Lawrence Rowswell. Starring Emrald Ja’Ceil, Jo O’Donnell, Umar Azam, Dallas Taylor, Madison Sedlor, and Brendan Cunningham. Performances take place Fridays, November 10 and 17 at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays, November 11 and 18 at 7:30 p.m., and Sundays, November 12 and 19 at 4:00 p.m. at the Paul Robeson Theatre. The Paul Robeson Theatre is located at 350 Masten Avenue, Buffalo, New York 14209. Tickets are $20 (General) and $15 (Seniors and Students) and are available at https://rb.gy/kfagd and at the door. MISSION OF ITOWNY: Inclusive Theater of WNY (ITOWNY) seeks to reimagine our society through producing original scripts in our ongoing writing group and writing workshops, utilizing existing plays, and through the production and performance of those scripts with actors who are chosen solely on their ability and passion. Our dream is not only to be a place where diversity is the norm, but also to challenge societal perceptions of difference and begin to create a world in which people are accepted and encouraged to contribute to society, no matter their age, physical condition, race, nationality, or gender.
