BSAA/BHS Alumni Hall of Fame Recognition Gala


Five stellar Brighton High School alumni to be honored

Tickets are now available for the 2022 Recognition Gala of the Brighton Schools Alumni Association/Brighton High School Alumni Hall of Fame, which will honor five new members of the hall of fame on June 3 at Monroe Golf Club. Classmates, colleagues, neighbors, family and friends, former teachers and staff are all welcome to attend. 

The 2022 members of the BSAA/BHS Alumni Hall of Fame represent stellar achievements in higher education, the arts, the law, philanthropy and communications. 
John W. Clark, Jr., BHS'54, was a professor of electrical, computer and bioengineering who was instrumental in establishing one of the first U.S. university bioengineering departments and a leader and mentor in professional associations on the national and international levels. 
Sharon Yates, BHS'60, is an internationally recognized painter and retired teacher of painting whose artwork has been in 18 solo exhibitions; 31 group exhibits; and the collections of universities, museums and law firms, and who has mentored and inspired students for decades. 
Bruce T. Wallace, BHS'63, is president of a law firm and a litigation attorney for not-for-profit and charitable organizations and Indian townships/tribes; a lecturer on environmental law; and co-author of a law school textbook about environmental litigation and tactics.
Jack M. Ferraro, BHS'63, had a successful career in finance in the U.S. and abroad, and a lifelong commitment to philanthropy and volunteer leadership service in nonprofit organizations, with a special focus on educational institutions.
Ruth E. Thaler-Carter, BHS'71, is a freelance writer/editor/proofreader/speaker who is known for crediting much of her professional success to her Brighton education, keeping classmates and other friends connected over many years, and participating actively in professional associations in publishing and philanthropic organizations in education and community service. She is a contributing writer to (585) magazine, among many other projects.
