Buffalo Then & Now: What Building Was There 100 Years Ago?
Join us for a captivating compare-and-contrast presentation that showcases the evolution of Buffalo over the past century. Discover how some of your favorite Buffalo buildings and sites looked one hundred years ago compared to their appearance today! This presentation will highlight various locations around the Queen City as they appeared in 1918, juxtaposed with their 2018 look. You'll be amazed at how much the city has transformed and, in some ways, remained the same.

Speaker Bio:
Chuck LaChiusa is the creator of the website Buffalo Architecture and History (BuffaloAH.com), which features thousands of his photographs. His website has earned awards from the City of Buffalo Preservation Board, the Buffalo History Museum, and The American Institute of Architects, Western New York Chapter. Chuck is also the photographer for the book Oakland Place: Gracious Living in Buffalo. He has served as board president of Explore Buffalo, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting Buffalo’s architecture and history through education. Chuck frequently conducts tours and gives presentations about Buffalo's historic architecture.
