3rd Annual JUNETEENTH Poetry Slam
Join us at 11:00 am on SATURDAY, June 18th until 3:00pm @ HIGHLAND BOWL. This event is free and all are welcome.
Save Rochester, Inc is hosting Rochester's 3rd Annual Teen Poetry Slam; a family-friendly and pet-friendly event in Rochester, N.Y. There will be games, raffles, free food, and amazing poetry performances by local teens in Rochester. Poetry Slam contestants can register at SaveRochester.org up to the day of the event to win cash prizes. Poems must be related to Juneteenth or similar issues concerning African-American heritage.
Our amazing panel of judges include Devon Reynolds, Shani Wilson, Craig Carson, Sirena Cotton, Brittan Hardgers, Mercedes Valasques-Simmons, and Karen Smith.
FREE Parking is available on Highland Ave and Robinson Dr.
It is the mission of Save Rochester Incorporated to develop and implement a comprehensive and holistic set of community based programs designed to eliminate and/or alleviate challenges of poverty for people living in the Greater Rochester Area.
