As part of the 75th anniversary of the founding of Daemen University / Rosary Hill College this exhibit will celebrate the creative history of its Department of Visual and Performing Arts. Established by Sister Jeanne File, the Art Department was one of the inaugural departments when Rosary Hill College was founded in 1947. She was chair of the department from 1948-1972 and also taught classes. Sister Jeanne retired in 1996. The exhibit will feature works by former faculty members Sister Jeanne File, James Kuo, Elizabeth Murray, James Allen, and Dennis Barraclough. 75 Years of Creative Excellence will be at the Tower Gallery in the Haberman Gacioch Arts Center at Daemen University from September 9 through October 7. An opening reception will be held on September 9 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Tower Gallery. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
