Spring Sweep
Spring Sweep is Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper’s largest event of the year and part of the annual Great Lakes CleanUP, where we are joined by volunteers across the Great Lakes region in removing litter from our shorelines and protecting our waterways.
People register for one of our 35+ cleanup sites around Western New York and from 10 am to noon on April 20 help remove trash from our shorelines alongside friends, family and community members. Volunteers are also asked to count litter collected and enter it into the Clean Swell app to help document what was removed and also help us in advocacy efforts for the whole region.
