J-ROG Announces Details for Historic Pre-Chanukah Celebration in Old Greenwich Old Greenwich is gearing up for a historic and exciting event as Jewish Riverside Old Greenwich (J-ROG) unveils plans for the first-ever public Chanukah celebration in the community. Set to take place on Sunday, December 15, from 1 PM to 3 PM, this festive gathering promises fun and inspiration for all ages. In collaboration with the Sound Beach Volunteer Fire Department and the Greenwich Fire Department, J-ROG is bringing together a wide range of activities and entertainment designed to usher in the holiday season with joy, light, and community spirit. The centerpiece of the event will be the live building of the OG Menorah, a hands-on experience for attendees as they participate in constructing a symbol of Chanukah’s enduring message of hope and resilience. Adding to the festive atmosphere, the celebration will feature: Pizza baked on-site by Napolitana, a local kosher dairy restaurant renowned for its delicious offerings. A babka station hosted by Greenwich & Delaney, a favorite kosher deli and restaurant. Other food selections and hot drinks to warm up the chilly December day. Entertainment by Hollyrock, whose interactive game show is sure to engage attendees of all ages. Kids' activities, including rides, crafts, and more.
