Horszowski Trio. Sunday, May 2, 2027, Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.
The Horszowski Trio has quickly become a vital force in the international chamber music world since their formation in 2011. In 2023, the “Horszowski Trio Prize” was created by the prestigious Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, to award piano trio winners. The trio consists of pianist Rieko Aizawa, violinist Jesse Mills and cellist Ole Akahoshi. Their program commemorates the 200th anniversary of Beethoven's death. It includes these Beethoven works: Trio in C minor, Op. 1, No. 3; Three Equali for Four Trombones and Trio in B-flat Major, Op. 97, “Archduke.” In addition, the trio will present the second movement from Trio No. 2 in E-flat Major, Op. 100 by Schubert and a new work, “Homage to Beethoven” by Dániel Dobri.
