Premier Podiatry is a modern podiatry and foot and ankle care center in Wayne, NJ, led by Dr. Velimir Petkov, DPM. Located at 502 Hamburg Turnpike, Suite 105, the Wayne office provides personalized care for adults and children dealing with foot pain, heel pain, ankle problems, nail and skin conditions, sports injuries, and other everyday foot and ankle concerns.
Dr. Petkov is a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine with more than 16 years of clinical experience. He trained at the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and has developed clinical interests in sports medicine, wound care, pediatric podiatry, foot and ankle surgery, and minimally invasive treatments. The focus at this location is straightforward: understand what’s causing the problem and choose the most effective, least invasive way to treat it when possible.
The Wayne team treats both sudden and long-standing conditions affecting the skin, nails, tendons, ligaments, bones, and joints of the foot and ankle. Care may include conservative treatment, orthotics, regenerative options, minimally invasive procedures, or surgery when needed—depending on each patient’s condition and goals.

The office uses modern diagnostic and treatment tools to support accurate care and faster recovery when possible. This includes digital X-rays, diagnostic ultrasound, EPAT shockwave therapy for heel pain, laser treatment for toenail fungus, Swift microwave therapy for plantar warts, gait analysis, PADnet vascular testing, and custom orthotics made in-office.
