The story follows the young and brave Peter as he embarks on a daring mission to protect his animal friends from the wolf. Also on the program is a delightful new work for young people, "The Babbling Orchestra," with a story by Peabody Award-winning producer and broadcaster Elliott Forrest from WQXR Radio and music by composer Michael Shapiro. This piece for orchestra and narrator tells the story of a piccolo player who would like to play not solo, but with others, only to discover every member of the orchestra speaks a different lan... Also on the program is a delightful new work for young people, "The Babbling Orchestra," with a story by Peabody Award-winning producer and broadcaster Elliott Forrest from WQXR Radio and music by composer Michael Shapiro. This piece for orchestra and narrator tells the story of a piccolo player who would like to play not solo, but with others, only to discover every member of the orchestra speaks a different language. No one is communicating and there is chaos. Ultimately, when they all play together, everybody learns to get along and live in harmony. Visuals for the concert will be provided by local art students.
