‘A Jazz Christmas’ at Greenville Community Church
On Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m., Greenville Community Church will host its second annual “A Jazz Christmas” concert. Featuring a blend of singalong holiday favorites and jazz standards, this family-friendly concert will usher in the spirit of the Christmas season with swinging versions of songs for all ages.
Pianist and Music Director David Shenton will lead a group of musicians who have performed in clubs, theaters and concert halls with such legends as Tony Bennett, Chris Botti, Anne Hampton Calloway, Roy Hargrove, the New York Pops and Vanessa Williams.
Featured musicians include vocalist Erin Shields, tenor saxophonist Stan Killian, bassist Matt Scharfglass and drummer Benjamin Saporito.
The concert will conclude at 3:15 p.m. with a reception and meet-and-greet with the artists. CDs will be available for purchase. Admission is free with donations encouraged.
Greenville Community Church is located at 270 Ardsley Road, Scarsdale, near Central Avenue.
